Leningrad State University Faculty of Oriental Studies – graduated 1964. Postgraduate studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Leningrad Division. Thesis “Poetry Yu Xin (501-589).” – Moscow.1978. Employment: Faculty of Oriental Studies, Far Eastern Federal University (1964-1986), State Hermitage, Chinese instructor for Hermitage employees, International School at Herzen Russian State University, Department of Oriental Languages at the University to the present day.
Participant in scholarly conferences and festivals (“Japanese Spring,” “Autumn in St. Petersburg,” for 10 years); public performer of the classical poetry of China and Japan; teacher of master classes and instructor in IKEBANA — the Japanese art of flower arrangement — with professor of Ikebana Mitiko Moriidzumi; enjoys working as a Chinese- and Japanese-language guide in her beloved city, showing its sights; serves as interpreter for negotiations, etc.
