Violetta Trofimova

Violetta Stigovna Trofimova, PhD in Philology, writer; in 2002, she defended her dissertation on the prose of Aphra Behn at St. Petersburg State University; author of two scholarly monographs — “The Prose Heritage of Aphra Behn” (2006) and “The Women’s Republic of Scholarship in the 17th Century” (2012) — as well as several dozen scholarly articles in Russian, English and French; in addition, she has published three novels and a collection of short stories.
